Laguna Lodge

This is one of the lodges in the Tortuguero area. I stayed here 3 days. To get here, the lodges organize entire packages for the tourists-they pick you up, bring you to the lodge, and drive you back to the hotel. Transporation, meals, 3 tours (except for the turtle night tour) and accommodation are included in the package. If you live in Costa Rica, you get a half resident rate. I stayed at Laguna Lodge and could not be happier. There was no TV, radio, or telephone in the room, and I was glad it was this way.

Laguna Lodge is only one of the many lodges in this area.

However, I was happy to stay here. It is located in the beautiful garden and the pool was awesome.

Exotic plants and flowers mark this area, like the whole of Costa Rica.

I am not sure if this picture isn't upside down actually. Hmm...

These are the lodges where we stay. The first one on the right is where I live.

Canoeing is one of the activities around the area. I should mention-with crocodiles!!

Time to hit the pool!

There is no one here at this time. How relaxing.
In the evening they turn on the little waterfall in the wall under this tree.

I am walking around to enjoy the botanical garden.

The pool goes under the little bridge.

Banana trees are common in Costa Rica.

Ah, these flowers..

This beautiful garden is within the lodge space.

Coconuts, like banana trees, are everywhere.

More plants and colors.

My feet are supposed to be the evidence that i am really here.
